It is already late afternoon and you still haven’t finished everything you had planned for the day? This is the time you wish there would be more hours in a day. Unfortunately, time machines are not existing (yet). But we can take control of our productivity. There are a number of ways to use every minute of your day wisely for more productive 24 hours.
Peaceful work hour
Even though you might not be a morning person, it does not mean that you cannot become one. Start setting your alarm clock one hour earlier than usual and enjoy uninterrupted work time for yourself. Studies show that early risers are in general more productive, successful und optimistic all over.
Effective to-do lists
Starting with creating a daily list of tasks to tackle also helps you to get more done on a day-to-day basis. On in Acteamo you can also type in recurring tasks, like weekly call with your remote team, so you don’t have to write them every week again.
You know the tasks you always push to the back of your list, because they are hard to fulfil or take up a lot of time? It’s usually the best to tackle these tasks first, as they are out of your mind and you feel better at the end of the day, if you freed yourself from these to-dos. Use the Priority-feature on Acteamo to highlight the importance/difficulty on the different tasks to get a great overview.
Another tip for being more productive (especially in your job) is to delegate tasks to teammembers, for whom the tasks are more suitable or they have more time working on them. This doesn’t mean you give all the unpleasant tasks to colleagues, you just work on things which bring you further in your job and also your company closer to the goals. On Acteamo it is pretty easy to delegate tasks to others and to keep track how they are doing you can be a “follower” to stay up-to-date on the progress.
Looking at your to-do list you probably wish to do all things at the same time. Multitasking is possible, but in reality, you are slower in finishing by going back and forth from one task to the other. So Focus on getting one project done before switching to the next one.
Working in teams it is vital to have some face-to-face communication, but sometimes these meetings are not used wisely. Most of the time the meetings are a waste of time because they are not planned through.
